The Zepel Desktop Widget is a small assistant that you can use to track the progress of your tasks and projects.

Logging In

You can login to the widget using your Zepel username and password.

You can also use your Google or GitHub accounts to log in.

The desktop widget has 2 primary screens:

-My Tasks

-Active Milestones

My Tasks

The “My Tasks” screen will give you list of tasks assigned to you across projects.

This screen is empty if you have no tasks assigned to you.

Tasks are added in realtime as they are assigned to you.

You can group and sort the tasks based on projects, due dates etc.

Active Milestones

The active milestones section in the dropdown menu contains a list of milestones which are currently in progress.

It is empty if you don’t have any active milestones.

Choose a milestone to view tasks associated with that milestone.

You can now:

Edit and complete tasks in the milestone.

Change the duration of the milestone.

Notifications

Growl notifications can keep you updated on the progress of your projects and team members.

You can setup and customise notifications that appear on your desktop.

Currently, you can set up the widget to notify you when

- Task is assigned to you

- A new milestone is in progress

-A task in the widget has been completed.

Notifications are clickable in Windows and Mac OSx.

App Updates

Your widget will auto-update every time a new update is released. When a newer version is available, you will be prompted to restart the app to run the latest version.

You can also search for updates manually. This can be done in the dropdown menu of the app (for windows and ubuntu users) or the app menu (for Mac users).
